Technician - Rental Services

Overview

Join us as a Technician – Rental Services at Mac Allister Machinery Co., Inc. We provide top-quality service and repair for equipment rentals.

This position will perform advanced mechanical repairs and/or maintenance of all rental equipment in the shop.

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnosing of equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Rebuild, repair, and maintain equipment and components.
• Completely understand the operation, function, specifications, capabilities, and controls of any piece of rental equipment.
• Complete all documents associated with repairs accurately and timely.
• Adhere to manager’s and lead mechanic’s directions regarding all repairs and service calls.
• Adhere to all safety rules and maintain quality housekeeping in the work area.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of work-related experience in a technician-related position.

• Certificate acquired through a vocational or technical school.
• Class B CDL.
• Must have required shop hand tools.
• 7+ years of work‑related experience with heavy equipment, preferably with a rental company or Caterpillar, and working knowledge of hydraulics, powertrain, electronic/electrical systems, etc.
