American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night-shift position requiring telemetry experience and PALS certification due to pediatric admissions.

• Med/Surg Tele unit in a short term acute care hospital with 78 staffed beds
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:00-06:30)
• Minimum of 3 weekends required within a 6 week period
• Possibility of floating based on unit or hospital needs
• Possibility of being placed on call
• Uses Meditech charting system

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• PALS certification required prior to start due to pediatric admissions on the unit
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Tele experience required
• Ambulatory and Med/Surg experience preferred
• Comfortable caring for pediatric patients

• Provide nursing care across a varied Med/Surg population including orthopedic, cardiovascular, GI, renal, and neurological cases
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Any scrub color accepted as long as professional in appearance
• No more than 5 days of RTO permitted, with no Christmas RTO accepted
• Candidates requesting holiday RTO must be willing to work one of the three major holidays
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Locals accepted within a 50-mile radius of the hospital
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for three years before returning as a traveler
