MAINTENANCE LEVEL 2 – United States Cold Storage, Inc.

Maintenance | Job Code: — | Exempt / Full‑time.

We are seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to maintain equipment uptime and operate the facility at maximum efficiency. Self‑motivated, collaborative team players are required.

• Complete all Maintenance Technician I tasks, including paperwork, battery maintenance, and general housekeeping.
• Provide electrical knowledge and troubleshooting support.
• Perform welding as needed.
• Conduct preventive and general maintenance on HVAC, doors, dock levelers, dock locks, plates, pallet racks, and other equipment.
• Maintain the facility inside and outside.
• Maintain and repair powered industrial trucks.
• Maintain and repair refrigeration systems.
• Participate in emergency response training.

• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Continuing education in RETA or other industry courses preferred.
• Experience: Proficient in building and equipment maintenance; minor to moderate electrical, HVAC, and plumbing knowledge; maintenance troubleshooting; minor to moderate welding knowledge.

• Bend and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly; lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally with assistance.
• Work at temperatures ranging from +50 °F to –30 °F; moderate noise levels.
• Lift overhead when required.
• Use hands to handle tools, objects, and controls.
• Attention to detail; effective communication and hearing essential.
• Operate scanners, tablets, radios, phones, computers, and other essential warehouse equipment as required.
• Availability for overtime due to demand.
• Operate registered motor vehicle as part of daily tasks.
• Have acceptable and/or correctable vision.
• Engage in frequent personal interaction and communication.
• Possess strong arithmetic and reading skills.
• Follow verbal and written instructions, and company policies.
• Be self‑starter, work independently, coordinate with others.
• Manage stress and meet productivity guidelines in a fast‑paced environment.

• Maintain a professional demeanor in appearance and communications at all times.
• Participate in staff and/or customer meetings as required.
• Take initiative to prevent non‑conformities related to product, process, and quality systems.
• Identify and report issues related to product, process, quality and propose solutions.
• Ensure solutions are effectively implemented.
• Follow posted security procedures at all times while in the building.
• Participate in safety and educational training programs.
