Gray Wolf is seeking Structural Welders at our Lebanon, IN project.

A Structural Welder raises, places, and unites girders, columns, and other structural‑steel members to form completed structures or structural frameworks.

• Welding Safety – work safely around the hazards associated with the construction field.
• Welding Tools – use hand, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools in a safe manner.
• Blueprint Reading – correctly read and understand plans, isometrics, arrangement drawings, details, specifications, erection manuals, and/or blueprints, and make competent decisions based on measurable criteria.
• Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
• Secure components together applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.
• Bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts to secure in position for welding.
• Prepare material for welding by cutting or grinding using pipe cutters, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and/or grinder.
• Set material in stands, racks, hoists, etc. for welding.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using arc, gas shielded arc, or gas welding equipment.
• Repair products by dismantling, straightening, and reshaping.
• Reassemble parts using cutting torch, straightening press, and hand tools.

• 3 position / 1g, 2g & 3g, 3 position / ½” Thick carbon steel plates.
• 1 - Horizontal, 1 – Uphill Vertical & 1 Overhead will be welded at the same time.
• Welding will be with .045" 70 Series flux cored wire.
• Only stringer weld passes will be allowed on ½” Thick carbon steel plates.

• Three (3) years minimum heavy industrial field experience as a Welder.
• Ability to identify all techniques of welding (TIG, MIG, Arc, etc.) and know all properties of various types of metals and how heat affects them.
• Completion of welding certification(s) required by company and/or client.
• Must have a locking toolbox and tools necessary to perform the job.
• Must be able to successfully complete all required pre‑hire requirements.

• Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds.
• Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with age.
• Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.
• Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
• PPE footwear, prescription safety glasses, or eye shields required.
