We are looking for dependable professionals who take pride in their craftsmanship, work safely, and contribute to a productive team.

Responsibilities vary by assigned position and project. Carpenters perform skilled construction work, while lead carpenters and foremen also coordinate crews and daily field activities. Leadership roles are hands-on, with the balance of fieldwork, planning, scheduling, and supervision depending on project size. Assignments may include travel to other project sites throughout Indiana and surrounding areas.

Construction Responsibilities
  • Build, install, repair, and maintain structures and fixtures using wood, aluminum, steel, concrete, and other construction materials.
  • Perform framing and install foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, windows, doors, trim, moldings, finishes, and other structural components, including work within steel structures.
  • Erect concrete forms; plumb, level, and grade; place embeds; rig large formwork; and operate equipment needed to place concrete as assigned.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, sketches, and construction drawings. Prepare layouts, measure and mark materials, and calculate dimensions, material quantities, and basic load requirements.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely, including saws, drills, and sanders. Fasten materials with appropriate nails, screws, staples, or adhesives and move materials around the jobsite.
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and perform demolition, repairs, and structural maintenance as assigned.
  • Follow applicable building codes, safety rules, and company procedures. Maintain a clean work area, check completed work with levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares, and correct deficiencies.
  • Coordinate with coworkers, supervisors, subcontractors, and other construction professionals to maintain quality and keep work on schedule.
Lead Carpenter and Foreman Responsibilities

For positions with crew leadership responsibilities:

  • Lead crews while working alongside the team; plan daily activities and coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other project resources.
  • Coordinate assigned construction scopes and trades, including carpentry, concrete, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural work, and finishes.
  • Work with Project Managers to schedule work, resolve field issues, monitor progress, and maintain workmanship, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices, mentor less experienced carpenters, and complete daily reports, timecards, timesheets, and project documentation.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • At least 2 years of carpentry experience; 4 or more years of commercial or industrial carpentry experience preferred for lead and foreman positions.
  • Previous experience as a Lead Carpenter, Foreman, Crew Leader, Supervisor, or similar is required for positions with crew leadership responsibilities.
  • Ability to read construction drawings, perform accurate layout and measurements, and use carpentry tools safely and effectively.
  • Experience with concrete, framing, structural steel, doors, finishes, and general construction preferred. Welding experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and problem-solving skills; leadership skills appropriate to the assigned role.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and personal basic carpentry hand tools. An acceptable driving record is required for company vehicle eligibility.
  • Ability to work safely at heights, travel to assigned jobsites, and work overtime and weekends as project requirements dictate.
