Overview
The Welder (Mig & Tig) role at Bass Pro Shops requires MIG or TIG aluminum welding on anodized or mill‑stock aluminum substrates. Welders will perform duties with high quality, inspect work, correct defects within takt time, and maintain acceptable attendance on the assembly line.
Responsibilities- Welds TIG or MIG.
- Positions and arranges parts and components for welding.
- Modifies parts for fit and function as required.
- Inspects work and fixes as required.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of welding machine controls and ability to adjust per requirements.
- Ability to apply MIG or TIG weld per standards within required task time.
- Ability to reload MIG wire as required.
- Rudimentary maintenance: clean tips, change tips or cups, and report abnormalities.
- Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.
- Must have enough manual dexterity and stability for precision work.
- Must be able to see details at close range.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
