We’re looking for a talented and motivated Senior Tax Manager to join a fast-growing, innovative professional advisory firm working with closely held businesses in the automotive retail, construction, manufacturing, distribution, and other for-profit industries. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, entrepreneurial, with a team mentality and strong technical accounting and tax knowledge. You will be responsible for leading tax engagements and supervising a team of support staff.

This role provides a unique opportunity for significant growth within our firm, working directly with business owners and their financial professionals.

• Lead and support a strong portfolio of auto dealership clients, in addition to engagements across other industries
• Occasional travel to auto dealership industry conferences across the U.S. – typically 3 per year in notable locations
• Provide initial and/or final review support for federal, state, and multi-state individual tax returns for corporate business owners and high net worth individuals
• Build client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to effectively deliver superior client services
• Identify opportunities for value-added services and potential cross-selling of other firm services to existing clients
• Exemplary leadership skills and the ability to mentor, train, and develop staff members
• Support partner team in practice development, including attending conferences, networking events, and training and speaking engagements

• 10+ years of experience preparing and reviewing corporate and individual income tax returns
• Active CPA or EA
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Proficient in project management including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and research
• Strong attention to detail
• Integrity within a professional environment
• Experience with automotive retail industry or S-corps

• Experience with CCH Axcess tax and Knowledge Coach
• Experience with automotive retail industry
