Join Dartmouth Health’s Department of Radiology as an evening and overnight full‑time radiologist for the Emergency Radiology division. The role is based at Dartmouth‑Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) in Lebanon, New Hampshire, which is a Level 1 trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center. DHMC is the central clinical hub of the Dartmouth Health system and an Academic Medical Center adjacent to Hanover, NH, and the University.
DHT health Radiology houses a world‑class emergency radiology section focused on efficient, productive, and cutting‑edge clinical care to acute‑care patients. The department offers a robust educational program for students and residents and excellent opportunities for professional growth. All full‑time radiologists are appointed as an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at the Geisel School of Medicine. Faculty have access to the institution’s full academic, cultural, and research resources.
Position Summary
We are seeking an evening and nighttime radiologist for the Emergency Radiology imaging division at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, depending on experience. The coverage includes a standard emergency radiology case mix of mainly X‑rays, CTs, and ultrasound with occasional MRI. Work follows a 7‑day‑on, 14‑day‑off schedule with staggered overlapping shifts. The team model accommodates specific strengths or weaknesses.
Coverage occurs at a Level 1 trauma center with a Comprehensive Stroke Center. Clinicians work with residents on 24‑hour ED coverage and provide teaching and case conferences. Clinical excellence is the top priority, and the department encourages national society participation.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and read out imaging for emergency patients, including X‑rays, CTs, ultrasound and limited MRIs.
- Provide coverage during evening and overnight shifts on a 7‑day‑on/14‑day‑off schedule.
- Collaborate with residents, attend at‑station teaching, and lead case conferences.
- Maintain patient‑centered care and collaborate with other departments.
- Engage in national societies and develop a clinical reputation.
Required Qualifications
- Diagnostic Radiology Board Certified or Board Eligible.
- Must obtain and maintain a medical license in both New Hampshire and Vermont kandidity-information.
- Ability to be appointed at the Instructor/activity Immediate Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank, depending on experience.
- Experience with emergency radiology and overnight coverage preferred.
