$37.40/hr - $59.84/hr

$20,000 Sign‑On/Retention Bonus (External candidates only)

• Selects equipment and imaging modalities, positions, and prepares patients for optimal diagnostic studies.
• Operates ultrasonography equipment to perform examinations, evaluates accuracy and quality of scan results.
• Reviews patient records for prior findings to aid in exam completeness.
• Records preliminary study results and prepares preliminary reports using department‑specific structured reporting systems.
• Takes measurements, labels them, and communicates findings to physicians.
• Consults with radiologists about unusual scans and re‑scanning needs.
• Performs transducer decontamination and maintains log entries, reporting discrepancies to the Education Coordinator.
• Assists with interventional (biopsy) procedures and modifies billing fields to reflect performed exams.
• Instructs and oversees students, residents, and physician staff in unit operations.
• Maintains equipment, recognizes malfunctions, and ensures quality control procedures are maintained.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited program for Diagnostic Medical Sonography and registry eligible.
• Minimum one year of experience performing a wide range of general and specialty ultrasound exams.
• Experience in high‑risk OB, advanced abdominal imaging, complex infertility, and guided biopsies preferred.
• Broad knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy, pathology, and physiological data.
• Competent in ultrasound reporting systems.

• Radiographer (NH OR) or Radiation Therapist (NH OR) or Medical Imaging/Rad Ther (NH OR) or Sonographer (NH).
• BLS within 30 days.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer – Abdomen (RDMS‑AB) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer – Obstetrics & Gynecology (RDMS‑OBGYN) within 730 days.
• Shift: Night.
• FTE/Hours per pay period: 1.00 – 40 hrs/week.
