Pharmacy Technician I - Retail

Base pay: $21.72/hr – $33.67/hr.
Overview
$5,000 Sign on/Retention Bonus (External candidates only). Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, performs routine and specialized technical and clerical duties for drug distribution to patients.
This is a Full Time, 40‑hour per week, benefitted position.

Employee contributions vested immediately; biweekly matching 50 % on up to 4 % of pay (maximum 2 % of pay). - Paid Time Off:
Accrued per pay period; includes six paid holidays. - Shift Differential: 10 % evening, 20 % night, 15 % weekend.
- Tuition Reimbursement:
Up to $3,000 per year. - Dental & Vision coverage.
- Answers phones.
- Prepares prescription and non‑prescription medication and/or devices.
- Stocks and replenishes stock locations and automated dispensing machines (ADMs) and/or robots (e.g., shelves, carousels, Parata).
- May assist with orienting and training pharmacy department staff.
- Communicates supply issues, problems or discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
- Assists in revising policy and procedure.
- Delivers meds to beds or patient care area.
- Inpatient Only:
Prepares or compounds non‑sterile, non‑antineoplastic drug products in accordance with USP chapter under supervision of a licensed pharmacist. - Maintains hardware and software of the department's multiple computer systems.
- Outpatient Only:
Electronically processes prescription orders and prepares prescriptions for verification by a pharmacist. - Take verbal orders from providers, runs registers, performs production and data entry production.
- Processes third‑party claims.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
- Associate’s degree in a health or related field (with 1 year of pharmacy experience) or the equivalent in education and experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations.
Licensure/Certification s
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the NH Board of Pharmacy required.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
- BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire for Retail or Specialty Pharmacy if required to administer immunizations.
