Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level 1 trauma center, with ARRT and recent trauma experience required.

• Work in a hospital setting within a 5-room interventional radiology department
• Covers IR, Neuro IR, neuro interventional surgery, and vascular surgery cases
• Schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 13-week contract
• Handles emergent and stroke intervention cases as a Level 1 trauma center
• Utilizes Siemens Artis Z (single and biplane), Philips Azurion, and C-Arm systems
• Procedures include neuro intervention (aneurysm coiling, stent placement, AVM treatment), vascular (Jet stream, Angiojet, CSI, IVUS), and mid-level procedures (Mediports, para’s, thora’s)
• Caseload includes urologic, liver, dialysis, embolizations, and trauma cases
• No local candidates accepted; candidates must live more than 75 miles from facility
• Responsibilities include assisting in a wide range of interventional, neuro, and vascular procedures
• Frequent use of advanced intervention systems such as Pnumbra for revascularization
• No first-time travelers will be considered
• Must comply with 75-mile radius rule for eligibility

• Active ARRT certification required
• Graduate of an A.M.A. approved school of Radiologic Technology
• BLS certification required
• At least one year of experience in interventional radiology
• Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last 2 years
• License required if applicable and must remain active through assignment
