Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience and an active NH or compact license.
Responsibilities- Position is in a hospital operating room with 26 high-tech suites
- Handles both inpatient and outpatient surgical cases
- Patient population includes neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Surgical specialties include ENT, general, ortho, plastic, urology, gynecology, ophthalmology, oral, neuro, robotics, vascular, cardiac, and thoracic
- Flexible scheduling available: choose between 4x10 or 3x12 hour shifts
- On-call required: 4-5 shifts per 13-week contract, which may be day or night
- No local candidates accepted; 75-mile minimum distance required
- Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing on a variety of surgical procedures for all age groups
- Work with a multidisciplinary surgical and anesthesia team in a high-acuity, trauma-capable environment
- Must be available for on-call shifts as scheduled throughout the contract
- Active NH or compact RN license required at time of consideration and must remain active throughout assignment
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Must have recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the past 2 years
- Prior OR RN experience across a range of surgical specialties
