Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with recent trauma experience and an active NH or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Position is in a hospital-based Operating Room with 26 advanced surgical suites
- Both inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures are performed
- Patient population includes neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
- Surgical specialties include ENT, general surgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, gynecology, ophthalmology, oral surgery, neurosurgery, robotics, vascular, cardiac, and thoracic surgery
- Available shifts include 4x10 or 3x12 hour schedules
- On-call requirement of 4–5 shifts per 13-week contract, which may include day or night shifts
- Must be prepared to assist in a wide range of surgical specialties as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team
- Work environment features high-tech OR suites supporting complex and diverse surgical procedures
- On-call coverage is shared among OR team members across both day and night shifts
- Active NH or compact RN license required for consideration
- Current BLS certification required
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma operating room experience within the last 2 years is required
- Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
