Travel LPN - Med​/Surg Float Pool

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a long-term care float position requiring a compact RN license and recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience.

• Active compact RN license required if applicable
• Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency in memory care techniques and protocols required
• Knowledge of MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments for long-term care facilities required
• Strong background in case management practices required
• Familiarity with IV skills, IV medications, tube feedings, and light wound care preferred

• Work in a long-term care setting providing care to residents at a skilled nursing, sub-acute, and dementia care facility
• EMR system used is Point Click Care  (PCC)
• Night shift schedule, 19:00-07:00, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Support provided across specialized areas including PT, OT, substance use disorder (SUD), and pain management
• Administer medications, assess resident health problems, and develop and implement nursing care plans
• Monitor resident progress and respond to changes in condition
• Work effectively in a medical office environment with excellent interpersonal, communication, and task management skills
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered
