A postdoctoral fellowship position is available to perform research on innovative statistical methods with essential applications to medicine and health care involving clinical trials and observational studies. The fellowship is a two-year position with a possibility for a third year. The successful candidate will be appointed in The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice and the Department of Biomedical Data Science and will be supervised by Dr.
James O'Malley.
- Conduct research leading to publications in high-ranking peer-reviewed journals.
- Work with trial and observational data; explore statistical areas such as modeling complex data structures including hierarchical, longitudinal, and multi-membership data; network data; and causal inference.
- Collaborate with experts in shared decision-making, patient communication, health policy, medical sociology, and other areas within medicine.
A doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistics, or a related field, and interest in innovative statistical methods research motivated by significant problems and current concerns in medicine and health care, particularly involving patients in challenging health states whose care requires coordination among multiple parties.
