We are looking for a highly motivated scientist with experience in onco‑immunology and cellular biology to join the Oncology Translational Research team within GSK Oncology TA.

The Oncology Translational Research team will partner with Oncology TA team members to increase clinical translatability and to contribute to preclinical development programmes within GSK Oncology TA. The successful candidate will work as part of a team that, by exploiting autologous patient‑derived PBMC alone or in combination with patient‑derived organoids, is analysing downstream immune response, developingiewe and implementing cutting‑edge cellular, genomic and molecular techniques with a multimodality analytic approach, plus machine‑learning models to improve cancer patient risk stratification as well as to predict future targeted and/or immunotherapy susceptibilities.

• Set up and perform immune cell‑based in vitro assays (including activation, proliferation, and phenotype characterization).
• Plan and execute in vitro studies with autologous immune cells with and without patient‑derived organoids for downstream analysis of immune response.
• Execute protocols for immune cells and organoids TCR and immunopeptidome studies.
• Collect and report data to the lab head and solve technical issues as part of a cross‑functional project team.
• Collaborate/cooperate with KCL scientists within the GSK‑KCL Translational Oncology Research Hub, an exclusive research collaboration between GSK and the Comprehensive Cancer Centre at KCL.

• PhD or MSc (or equivalent) in Cell Biology/Immunology/Oncology or related area and relevant multidisciplinary experience in Oncology and immunology.
• Proven expertise in T cell biology in tumour immune microenvironment and in immunotherapy.
• Significant experience in cell culture techniques (immune cells and primary samples/ patient‑derived organoids).
• Extensive experience in multiple‑colour flow cytometry.
• Ability to communicate with team members from different backgrounds by training/discipline, as well as senior members of the GSK stakeholders/research partner units.
• Ability to deliver high quality, consistent results in a timely fashion with a positive can‑do and result‑oriented attitude.

• PhD in oncology, biology or related.
• A track record of scientific publication.
• Experience in vaccine development and application.
• Spectral flow cytometry experience (Cytek Aurora).
