Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance
Overview
Supports our production operations by ensuring the optimal performance of manufacturing equipment. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and repairing production machinery to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial maintenance, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
Hourly - Full Time
Responsibilities- Responsible for maintaining company-owned machinery and equipment in proper working order
- On-call emergency repairs
- Responsible for taking control of breakdowns
- Execute a plan of continued improvement of machine safety and general housekeeping
- Work with crews to complete all preventative maintenance
- Work with machine operator to troubleshoot and determine root cause of mechanical issues
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests and prioritize effectively
- Work hand in hand with Maintenance Manager to resolve any accident waiting to happen forms
- Work as a team to maintain organization and inventory of maintenance shop and tools

QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Experience:
- Electrical certification preferred
- Corrugated packaging industry a plus
- Strong knowledge of mechanical machinery
- Ability to use shop tools and equipment, drill press, shop grinders, welders, oxy-acetylene torch
- A good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- A strong troubleshooting and problem solving ability with practical, mechanical & electrical aptitude
- Must be able to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings
- Must be fully computer literate with Microsoft environment

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to perform maintenance on machinery. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment.
Work Environment: Exposure to moving mechanical parts. Wet and/or humid conditions. Office setting, sitting for long periods of time. Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles and vibration. Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
