Sales Associate

Reports To:

Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Department Manager Non‑Exempt

SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for assisting customers in their purchase of company products and services by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Handles all aspects of customer service (internal and external customers alike)
  • Ability to handle customer and employee issues, along with communicating to management regarding issues that need to be addressed
  • Assists with inventory to and from the warehouse, and sales floor
  • Responsible for promoting a positive culture within the department/store
  • Works with customers to insure a positive shopping experience
  • Handles inbound calls
  • Provides and collects required paperwork and forms following all ATF guidelines, ensuring accuracy of data collected free of errors or missing data
  • Maintains required paperwork
  • Quotes price and describes features of product items
  • Emphasizes salable features, credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained
  • Stocks products on sales floor
  • Cleans and organizes work areas
  • Enforces safety, health, and security rules
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures
  • All other duties as required by management
