We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to sell Kadant Black Clawson Aftermarket products and Capital Equipment by deploying value‑added process knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and technical expertise in a predominantly pulp and paper mill customer base—advancing KBC’s mission of a forward‑thinking, collaborative, and ethical business.
Responsibilities- Meet or exceed forecasted sales quota.
- Plan and execute a commercial strategy for growing territory sales and advancing customers along the relationship continuum.
- Visit customers or prospective customers in the field; plan call schedules and submit timely, updated itineraries and call reports.
- Use technical skills to assist customers in solving process, operating, and mechanical problems, fostering relationship development.
- Apply process and equipment knowledge to recommend optimal KBC‑based solutions to customers’ operating needs.
- Demonstrate the superior value proposition of KBC‑recommended solutions to customers.
- Provide the Director of Sales with regular customer feedback, recommendations, and concerns regarding specific accounts and the market in general.
- Assist in negotiations for new contracts with customers.
- Collect and transfer information for new equipment and process proposals to the Applications Department.
- Keep corporate office, RSMs, and other sales personnel advised on competition, including competitive prices, promotional activities, sales efforts, product claims, new sales techniques, and market acceptance.
- Submit accurate, complete, and timely expense reports.
- Create and deliver technical sales presentations for customers.
- Assist in the collection of accounts receivable, if requested.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional presentation skills; bilingual proficiency in French and English.

- Ability to function well in a high‑pace, sometimes stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Experience using Salesforce to record and update call reports, sales opportunities, and customer information, maintaining an organized CRM.
- Demonstrates KBC values of personal accountability, discipline, trust, and proactive action.
- Required:
bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science, or related field from an accredited college or university; alternatively, four to eight years of relevant work experience can be considered in lieu of a degree. - Desired: a strong technical background with a minimum of five years of sales or process‑related experience in the pulp and paper industry.
