ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (NH or compact state)

• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience

• Required certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient care skills

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork abilities
ICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the MICU

• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to critical care treatments

• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

• Administer medications, manage IVs, and operate advanced life support and monitoring equipment

• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and recovery expectations

• Maintain a safe, supportive, and compliant environment for patients and healthcare staff
