We are recruiting for a Shipping Supervisor – 2nd Shift. This role is hourly and reports to the Shipping Manager. You will be part of the Shipping Management Team, which includes a Shipping Manager, two Shipping Supervisors (one for each shift), and a Shipping Clerk.
Responsibilities- Maintain a daily shipping "Hot List"
- Plan shipments primarily via our fleet of six trucks, adding common carriers as needed or as assigned by the customer
- Manage a pick list for two offsite warehouses
- Prepare delivery receipts for outbound shipments
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of trailers
- Maintain dock appointments
- Serve as a backup to other Shipping Management Team members
- Safety before all else
- Quality in all we do

- Shipment loads that maintain their stability throughout the trip
- Commitment to building a diverse workforce representative of the citizens and customers we serve
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred
- Five years of experience in a manufacturing and shipping environment
- Ability to multi-task and produce accurate work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to supervise through coaching and inspire employees to perform at their best
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to retain technical information
- Computer literacy in Microsoft products; experience with shipping platforms. Experience with Amtech is a plus
- Self-starter and team player
- High level of enthusiasm and creative ability
- Adopt a coaching style of supervision, guiding the team and clarifying the purpose of tasks and goals
- Hold the team accountable for tasks, focusing on performance rather than personality
- Model and enforce company and department policies and procedures
- Maintain high safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
- Coordinate with customer service and production for smooth, quality order shipments
- Process paperwork accurately for outgoing shipments in a fast-paced environment
- Oversee loading and unloading of trailers
- Protect products from damage
- Participate in monthly physical inventory procedures
- Receive product accurately and promptly in the Amtech system
- Perform all tasks as directed by the Shipping Manager
