Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Overview

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner role at Ulta Care Medical. The position focuses on optimizing treatment for psychiatric conditions in post‑acute and long‑term care nursing facilities. Work is performed remotely within the facility, with flexible scheduling and full autonomy in clinical practice under the supervision of a psychiatrist.

$70,000 – $100,000 per year.

• Review psychotropic medications in accordance with CMS guidelines.
• Make medication recommendations to onsite medical staff and follow up for medication effectiveness.
• Offer guidance and instruction related to psychiatric illnesses to facility staff.
• Meet monthly with the supervising psychiatrist to review charts and receive education and guidance.
• Maintain open communications with patients, families, facility staff and attending physicians.
• Provide a customer‑oriented approach to meeting patient needs, involving others in the care plan as appropriate.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest level of professionalism.
• Communicate at all levels of the organization and work well within a team environment.

• PMHNP Certification.
• 2 years of experience in a psych‑focused FNP role.
