The Technical Service Analyst provides technical support including tracking new models and mid-cycle changes to inventory items, producing customer communications through Product Information Bulletins, ensuring part accuracy for new inventory items, tracking rejected parts, and maintaining systems for quality issues. Develop supplier relationships, Ford/Stellantis Engineering relationships, and provide accurate certification information for international Ford teams. Provide technical information for internal and external customers via email and website, including ADAS systems.
- Lead new model and OE part level change meetings, measuring lead times and identifying bottlenecks to meet first‑to‑market goals.
- Work with key customers, suppliers, and systems to identify required launch information for NMI and level‑change information.
- Provide continual support for the functionality of the Engineering Part Database and make changes as necessary.
- Collaborate with key customer contacts on interchange or system corrections, submit SREA/PPAPs as required by the customer, and manage dual sourcing, location changes, and redundancy‑reduction strategies.
- Communicate SREA/PPAPs and corrections through NMI meetings; conduct quality physical checks of new parts, manage rejects with suppliers, and handle inventory removal and supplier credit issuance.
- Participate in APQP or troubled‑supplier meetings, offering solutions.
- Develop OE‑side supplier relationships to pre‑empt changes, additions, deletions, and critical supplier issues.
- Manage excess inventory via the customer process for reimbursement per established obsolescence procedures.
- Respond to internal and external customer part concerns, including ADAS for windshields and historical/current part information.
- Provide certification support for all Ford groups not managed by FCSD, such as Ford of China, Ford of Brazil, etc.
