HSS Inc is seeking a skilled and dependable Fire Alarm Technician to join our Project Management Division. In this role, you’ll work directly at client sites, traveling throughout our service area (travel paid), installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining life-safety fire alarm systems. Install, program, service, and troubleshoot Firelite and Silent Knight fire alarm panels.

Perform system commissioning and facilitate inspections with AHJs.

Maintain compliance with applicable fire, life safety, and electrical codes.

Interpret blueprints and system schematics to execute projects accurately.

Provide occasional support with wire pulling as needed (not a daily task).

Demonstrate professionalism at client sites and uphold safety standards.

Collaborate with team members on system installations and upgrades.

Travel throughout our service region (company vehicle provided).

Minimum 3 years of hands‑on fire alarm experience (5+ years preferred).

Proficiency with Firelite and Silent Knight systems required.

Skilled in testing, inspection, and system commissioning.

Working knowledge of 1/2" and 3/4" EMT conduit installation.

Familiarity with applicable codes and standards.

Ability to pass background check in compliance with applicable laws.

Bonus skills (not required):
Experience with alarms, CCTV, access control, networking.

NICET certification is a plus but not required.

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Valid driver’s license required.

Competitive hourly pay: $28–$40 per hour + Signing Bonus
