Security Team Leader

Security Team Leader Permanent, Full-time Ledbury, Herefordshire 37.5 per week, primarily Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm (inc lunch break x 1 hour) Sequaniisa contract research organisation based in Ledbury, Herefordshire . We conduct regulatory safety testing to help make the world a safer place. We are seeking an experienced , confident and collaborative Security Team Leader to supervise and manage a team of 6 security officers, who are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, personnel, visitors, equipment and reputation.

Candidates must be calm and assertive, with good interpersonal skills and experience in leading a team working on a shift rota basis.

Experience of dealing with the public in an enforcement environment as well as experience working in a highly regulated environment is preferrable. Computer literacy, robust basic numeracy and strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as the post will be responsible for communicating with managers and staff in the organisation, as well as having responsibility for the security budget. Current or previous SIA licence and first aid at work qualifications are desirable.

Role Overview :
The role is responsible for providing a professional security service that ensures the security of Sequani's physical facility and personnel. This is performed directly and via supervision and line-management of the security team. The role includes liaising with the local police, providing security screening of all personnel and the provision of first aid cover for the site. The role also includes responsibility for the site security equipment/infrastructure and company vehicles.
