Program Overview

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students.

Program Manager Pay Rate & Hours

Pay Rate: $19.00 – $23.00 (based on education and experience)

Hours:

Monday–Friday, 6:30 am–8:30 am and 2:45 pm–6:00 pm

Responsibilities
  • Safety & Joy:
    Exhibit role model qualities ensuring safety and joy standards are met by guiding a team of staff members. Maintain operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date. Establish attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensure program tasks are completed effectively.
  • Safety Assurance:
    Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure the well‑being of all participants.
  • Age Requirement:
    Minimum 20+ years of age.
  • Proof of High School diploma/GED required.

Ideal Candidates
  • Experience working among competing priorities and delivering quality service to all stakeholders.
  • High school diploma or GED completed.
  • Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
  • Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
  • Communication skills; oral, written, and visual with adults and children.
  • Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
  • Familiarity with Google technology or willingness to learn.
Connecticut State Requirements
  • Must meet state‑specific requirements.
  • First Aid and CPR in‑person.
  • Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • Must be on site 60% of the time.
  • HS Diploma / GED.
  • 1080 hours of documented supervised experience over a nine‑month span and either CDA or 12 credits in early childhood education or child development.
  • OR BS / BA in early childhood education or child development, 360 hours of experience working with similar ages, 1 semester student teaching.
