Purchase Ledger

Working Pattern:
Part-time, flexible hours (22.5 hours per week)

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the purchase ledger and wider finance operations. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working in a small but busy finance team.

Key duties will include:

• Accurately recording supplier invoices within the accounting system
• Assisting with weekly supplier payment runs
• Completing bank reconciliations
• Supporting VAT return preparation
• Providing general finance support as needed across the team

This role would suit an experienced purchase ledger professional who is comfortable working autonomously and juggling multiple priorities.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience working in a purchase ledger–focused role
• Exposure to bank reconciliations, VAT, and some sales ledger activity
• An AAT qualification (or working towards one) would be beneficial
• Familiarity with Xero is advantageous, though not essential

• Part-time hours: 9:30am – 2:30pm, Monday to Friday (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)
• Salary guide: £28,000 – £32,000 FTE, depending on experience (pro rata for part-time)
• 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays and a discretionary Christmas closure
