** Make a Difference with Rowans Hospice
** Are you an experienced retail manager with a passion for delivering excellent customer service and leading successful teams?  Join Rowans Hospice and help us raise vital funds to support people living with life-limiting illnesses across Portsmouth and South East Hampshire.
** About Us
** Rowans Hospice is a local charity providing free specialist palliative care and support to adults and their families living with a life-limiting illness.  Since 1994, we have been dedicated to delivering compassionate care, made possible through the generosity of our local community, donations, legacies, fundraising and our network of retail shops.
** The Role
** We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Shop Manager to lead our busy retail shop in Lee-on-the-Solent.

Reporting to the Head of Retail, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the shop, ensuring excellent retail standards, maximising income and creating a welcoming environment for customers, volunteers and staff.  You will play an important role in supporting the continued success and growth of Rowans Hospice Retail.
** Key Responsibilities
** As Shop Manager, you will:
* Take overall responsibility for the successful management of the shop in line with Rowans Hospice Retail’s aims, objectives and values.
* Lead, motivate and develop a team of staff and volunteers.
* Maximise sales through effective stock management, merchandising and excellent customer service.
* Monitor shop performance and regularly communicate progress with the Head of Retail.
* Identify opportunities to improve shop operations and profitability.
* Keep up to date with local retail trends, particularly within the charity and value retail sector.
* Promote awareness of the Hospice and support local fundraising and income generation initiatives.
* Build positive relationships with colleagues, local communities and partner organisations.
* Support wider retail initiatives, including new shop openings, events and corporate opportunities.
* Provide management cover at other Rowans Hospice shops when required.
