Postal Delivery Driver

As a Postal Delivery Driver in Lee-on-the-Solent, you will join Pertemps Royal Mail on a temporary, full-time basis. This role offers £15.06 per hour for up to 35 hours per week, with shifts from Monday to Friday and weekend flexibility required. Your duties commence at the local delivery office, where you will sort and load daily mail and parcels. You will then distribute items by vehicle and on foot, covering up to eight miles daily.

A company handheld device supports route navigation and operational tasks. This position suits someone who values independent outdoor work and delivers strong customer service.

Pertemps is currently recruiting temporary Multi-Drop Postal/Parcel Delivery Drivers on behalf of Parcel force. This role is ideal for self-motivated individuals who enjoy independent outdoor work and have a strong passion for customer service.

• Preparation:
  Begin shifts at the local delivery office to accurately sort and load daily deliveries.
• Distribution:
  Deliver mail and parcels both by vehicle and on foot. This physical role involves walking up to 8 miles per day.
• Operations:
  Utilise a company handheld device for navigating routes and capturing customer signatures.
• Manual Handling:
  Safely lift and carry mail bags weighing up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg, utilising delivery trolleys as required.

• Licence:
  Must hold a valid, full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points (a clean licence is preferred).
• Resilience:
  Ability to work comfortably outdoors across all weather conditions.
• Skills:
  
  Exceptional time management capabilities alongside a customer-first mindset.
• Experience:
  
  Prior delivery or commercial driving experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
