Residential Home Manager - Clairmont House

Glenwood leads the state in providing behavioral health care and educational services that are responsive and complementary to a continuum of care for persons with unique mental health and developmental needs.

Glenwood is seeking a Residential Home Manager (RHM) to oversee the daily operations and care delivery in our Aging Residential Services program
, supporting adults with developmental disabilities and age‑related needs. The RHM is responsible for supervising direct care staff, implementing individualized treatment plans, and ensuring a safe, person‑centered home environment that meets the physical, emotional, and health needs of aging residents. Approximately 75% of scheduled hours will be spent on shift providing direct care to residents, while the remaining time will focus on administrative and programmatic responsibilities, including staff supervision, compliance monitoring, and ensuring high‑quality care.

Job Functions
  • Comply with the Code of Ethics and demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all clients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
  • Maintain certification and operational activities of the aging residential home.
  • Ensure high‑quality care that supports residents’ aging‑related needs, including mobility assistance, fall prevention, medication management, nutrition, and health monitoring.
  • Maintain the program’s budget and oversee fiscal resources assigned to the home.
  • Maintain the health and safety of residents through medication administration, attendance at medical appointments, completion of safety training, and implementation of positive behavioral and aging‑supportive practices.
  • Monitor compliance with quality assurance systems consistent with agency policies and the philosophy of service.
  • Communicate regularly with family members, QDDPs, RNs, BCBAs, and other members of the treatment team to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Complete resident‑related documentation, grocery shopping, order necessary supplies, and submit work orders as appropriate.
  • Supervise and manage residential staff, ensuring adherence to Glenwood’s policies and fostering a supportive, team‑oriented environment.
  • Conduct scheduled one‑on‑one meetings monthly with staff, providing coaching and feedback.
  • Support and develop direct care staff to meet competency‑based and aging‑care training requirements.
  • Participate in formal performance management and ongoing professional development.
  • Partner with Human Resources to recruit, train, and retain qualified talent for the home.
  • Participate in the division’s on‑call rotation to provide after‑hours support and guidance.
  • Conduct and participate in staff meetings and ensure effective communication among team members.
  • Perform special projects and assignments as directed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Provides leadership and guidance to staff in goal setting, problem solving, resource management, and outcome achievement.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using both verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
  • Foundational knowledge of aging‑related care needs or willingness to learn through Glenwood‑provided training;
    Glenwood will provide Relias modules and other aging‑care competencies required for this role.
  • Defines performance objectives and metrics for staff and promptly assesses competence.
  • Collaborates with other departments to create systems and resolve issues impacting care delivery or program outcomes.
  • Demonstrates commitment to a healthy work environment by modeling positive behavior and encouraging teamwork.
  • Physically able to perform job duties including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate and uphold the agency’s mission, vision, and values.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
