Currently we are searching for a mid-level Microsoft Systems Administrator to fulfill an immediate contract opportunity. This position is a full time contract position with potential for extension and/or conversion. This will be a primarily remote role with occasional onsite meetings. Applicants must be located within the Greater Birmingham, AL area. Cannot work with 3rd parties, applicants must be USC or GC holders as sponsorship is not provided.
Dayto Day Responsibilities:
- Support ongoing infrastructure and systems initiatives within a hybrid Microsoft technology environment.
- Perform hands‑on administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and migration activities across core Microsoft platforms.
- Assist with user, application, and endpoint transitions as the organization continues to modernize and expand its technology environment.
- Develop and utilize Power Shell scripting and automation to improve administrative efficiency and support project activities.
- Partner with senior infrastructure and cloud team members to execute technical tasks, troubleshoot issues, and keep projects moving forward.
- Provide ongoing technical support and stabilization as systems and services transition into the updated environment.
- Assist with additional infrastructure initiatives and projects as business needs evolve.
- 2–4+ years of experience supporting Microsoft‑based infrastructure and systems.
- Hands‑on experience administering Microsoft cloud and identity technologies in a hybrid environment.
- Experience supporting enterprise‑level systems, migrations, upgrades, or technology transitions.
- Strong Power Shell/scripting capabilities and a willingness to work hands‑on with automation.
- Solid understanding of identity, access, user administration, and Windows‑based environments.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and execute technical tasks while collaborating with senior technical resources.
