Service Repair Technician

• Service and/or repair vacuum trucks and other types of heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate various mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Perform welding and fabrication as required (MIG, stick, plasma, torch cutting).
• Read and understand technical instructions (blueprints, hydraulic schematics, diagrams, work instructions).
• Operate overhead crane, hoist, forklift, and miscellaneous air and electric hand tools and measuring instruments to perform repairs and maintenance.
• Complete shop maintenance during downtime.
• Enter jobs into the computer system in line with company processes.
• Communicate updates on equipment to Supervisor.
• Order parts.
• Work in accordance with all company and OSHA safety policies.

Requirements:

• Ability to assemble components according to drawings and/or verbal or written instructions.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose all systems related to a complete vacuum system.
• Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical applications; maintain a clean and safe workplace, working in a manner deemed safe for oneself and others.
• Willingness to work overtime when requested.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of mechanical assembly experience with strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to read blueprints, hydraulic schematics, diagrams, and work instructions.

Preferred:

• Experience in a mechanic or related position (2-4 years).
• Licenses & Certifications as required.
