Accountant required to support an independent firm in Leeds on a temporary basis.

Your new company will be a small independent accountancy firm based in Leeds, known for its friendly culture and hands‑on approach to supporting local businesses. The team is close‑knit, collaborative, and looking for a temporary member of staff during the busy summer months, commencing as soon as possible and running until early September.

• Prepare year‑end accounts and draft accounts for small limited companies.
• Review client bookkeeping to ensure records are complete before accounts preparation.
• Support senior accountants with schedules, working papers and any follow‑up queries.
• Liaise with clients to clarify queries and ensure smooth workflow during the busy period.

• ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent, or relevant experience (qualified by experience).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Availability during the summer months to support the team for the temporary assignment.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team.
• Excellent communication skills to build good working relationships with both team and clients.
