Financial Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Accountant to join our finance team. This role will support the delivery of accurate financial reporting, statutory accounts, group consolidations, and year‑end audit activities, while providing insightful analysis to drive business performance and decision‑making. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, the successful candidate will contribute to monthly and annual reporting cycles, identify risks and opportunities, and support finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Prepare accounting entries including accruals and prepayments in line with accounting standards.
• Analyse and highlight risks and opportunities within the cost base and wider business performance.
• Deliver targeted financial reporting to support decision‑making and drive behavioural change.
• Support the planning and delivery of monthly reporting and annual financial statements.

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) or finalist with relevant experience.
• Proven experience in a management or financial accounting role.
• Experience supporting or managing year‑end procedures and liaising with external auditors.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
