Senior Accountant

Salary: £45,000
A well-established and highly respected independent accountancy practice is looking to strengthen its team with an experienced Senior Accountant.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced practice accountant who enjoys working directly with clients and is looking for a varied role covering accounts, tax, advisory work and client relationship management.
The firm offers a supportive, team-focused environment with plenty of autonomy and genuine opportunities for progression.

- Preparing statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
- Preparing management accounts
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
- Visiting client premises where required
- Assisting with tax compliance and advisory work
- Reviewing corporation tax returns
- ACA or ACCA qualified, although part qualified individuals will be considered
- UK accounting experience is essential
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience with IRIS, Xero, Sage or similar software would be advantageous
- A proactive approach and genuine desire to continue developing within practice
