This fixed-term Accountancy Assistant post sits in the Finance Team at Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust, running to 31 March 2027. The work supports the Finance Manager for Income and Central Reporting, covering accruals and prepayments, handling queries from staff, suppliers and patients, and helping with month-end and year-end accounts for audit. The post combines home and office working and includes acting as the Trust's Invoice Query Manager for non-purchase order invoices.
Whatthe job involves
- Provide day-to-day routine support to the Finance Team
- Calculate and input accruals and prepayments in line with the monthly accounts timetable
- Investigate queries from staff, customers, suppliers and patients, giving professional and timely advice
- Act as the Trust's Invoice Query Manager and first contact for non-purchase order invoice queries
- Direct invoices to the correct person for coding and investigate payment-related queries
- Raise sales orders and support the receivables policy and procedure
- Assist with month-end and annual accounts, keeping records to support the statutory audit
