GEM Partnership is delighted to partner with a well-established, market-leading property development agency in the recruitment of a SharePoint Data Migration & Cleanse Clerk
With 10 offices across the UK, our client provides property consultancy services, ranging from architecture to property valuation and management.
They are currently working on a project to migrate data from a legacy Windows file server to a MS SharePoint Online and are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced person to “clean up” the data and assist in preparing the recipient SharePoint sites, before migrating it to its intended destination. Managing issues found following the data migration will also form part of this 12-month fixed-term role.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and the SharePoint Online platform.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately input, update, and maintain departmental data in SharePoint from source documents (held on a Windows file server).
* Review data for errors, inconsistencies, and missing information, correcting discrepancies and checking output for accuracy.
* Organise and file electronic data using agreed naming conventions and protocols to ensure easy retrieval and accessibility.
* Perform routine data quality checks and audits to ensure the integrity and consistency of data across the platform.
* Assist in generating reports, summaries, and data extracts from SharePoint as requested by management or other teams.
* Adhere to all company data privacy and security policies, including confidentiality of sensitive information (e.g., PII, HIPAA, GDPR, etc., where applicable).
* Collaborate with existing staff to resolve data-related issues and improve data management processes.
* Provide occasional administrative support and assist with special projects requiring large volumes of data entry, as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a data entry or similar administrative role.
* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (including functions like data validation, sorting, and filtering), Word, and Outlook.
* Familiarity with and working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint Online, its document management features (lists, libraries, etc.), and relevant management portals.
* Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing error-free work.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable
Skills and Experience:
* Additional certification in data management or computer applications.
* Previous experience of data migration projects involving SharePoint and data migration tools (ideally, Share Gate).
* Familiarity with Orchestry (or similar) to manage SharePoint work spaces.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a meticulous and reliable individual to create, manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date information within the SharePoint system, ensuring the smooth flow of information across departments.
The role is based at their Leeds office and offers hybrid working. A bonus payment will also be payable upon successful completion of the project.
