Clerical Officer - Cardiac Diagnostics Admin
We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and organised Clerical Officers to join the Cardio-Respiratory Diagnostics administration team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Working across both Leeds General Infirmary and St James's University Hospital, you will provide a welcoming and professional reception service for patients attending diagnostic appointments, while supporting the day-to‑day administration of our busy cardiology and respiratory services.
As part of a friendly and supportive team, you will undertake a variety of administrative duties including patient reception, appointment booking and management, handling telephone enquiries, and supporting clinical staff to ensure patients receive an excellent experience. You will work closely with dedicated Admin Coordinators, Patient Service Coordinators and clinical colleagues, who will provide support and guidance as you develop your knowledge and understanding of cardiology and respiratory diagnostic services.
This is a full‑time role working Monday to Friday, with flexible working arrangements available, including the option of four longer days (08:00‑18:00) or five standard 7.5‑hour days. The role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable NHS administrative experience, develop new skills and contribute to the delivery of high‑quality patient care within a rewarding and patient‑focused service.
Criteria:
Ability to prioritise, plan and organise own workload. Ability to use and act on own initiative. Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to the requirements of team members.
