£30,949 per annum - Grade 4

Mobile across West Yorkshire

Part time / Permanent – 18.5 hours per week

We currently have a vacancy for an Asset Management Assistant to join our Facilities and Assets team.

The Combined Authority has approximately 14,000 bus stops, 20 bus stations and interchanges, rail stations, car parks, turning circles and other miscellaneous properties. As our Asset Management Assistant, you will provide assistance to the Asset Manager in the repair and maintenance of the on-street infrastructure and properties owned by the Combined Authority.

Your day-to-day work will include site visits, issuing works orders for repairs and infrastructure changes, updating databases, and responding to local issues across all aspects of infrastructure. As Asset Management Assistant, you will take a proactive, corporate approach to leading your team and contributing to your directorate’s objectives. You will demonstrate consistent commitment to corporate processes and ensure they are delivered effectively.

You will act as a visible, enthusiastic team leader, promoting partnership working across the organisation. You will motivate and develop your team, maintaining a positive and supportive environment. The role also includes managing small bus station sites, covering cleaning, facilities, resources, legislative compliance, and coordination of multiple partners to ensure smooth operations. The post may be based at any bus station within West Yorkshire and will include providing relief cover when required.

The Role

Reporting into the Asset Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

· Undertaking site visits, where you will issue works orders for repairs and changes to infrastructure.

· Updating the database and responding to local issues involving all aspects of infrastructure.

· Day to day supervision and management of Contract Compliance Officers.

About You

You will have the following key skills, attributes, education, and experience:

· Educated to GCSE Level, or the equivalent practical work experience.

· High level of Health and Safety awareness, with experience of NRSWA and Health and Safety Equality legislation.

· Competent user of Microsoft office packages.

· Knowledge and experience of on-street infrastructure.

· Experience in meeting targets.
