team

The Insolvency Centre of Excellence (ICE) team sits within A&M's successful Restructuring & Insolvency practice. It manages all compliance and technical matters on insolvency cases, working alongside the wider case teams. ICE also deals with longer term case progression matters. They maintain A&M's standards of excellence, high levels of compliance and quality output, across a busy portfolio of cases. ICE deal with different sized cases ranging from mid‑market regional opportunities to complex and international appointments, across all types of insolvencies.

How

you will contribute

We are looking for a Case Manager (Senior Associate) with at least 5 years' experience. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑date management and technical delivery of a diverse and, at times, complex portfolio of insolvency appointments.

The successful candidate will be a technically strong insolvency professional who can independently manage statutory compliance, stakeholder reporting and case strategy, whilst also leading, developing and quality checking the work of junior members of the ICE team.

The ICE Manager acts as a key interface between case teams, officeholders, and internal support functions.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Case & Portfolio Management
  • Manage a diverse caseload of formal insolvency appointments, including:
    • Administrations
    • Creditors' Voluntary Liquidations
    • Members' Voluntary Liquidations
    • Compulsory liquidations
    • Other court based and non‑court‑based insolvency and restructuring procedures.
  • Take full ownership of the statutory lifecycle of appointments, ensuring:
    • All statutory deadlines are met
    • Filings are accurate, timely and compliant
    • Statutory aspects of case strategies are properly implemented and documented
    • Provision of technical input into case planning, appointment formalities and time frames, exit strategies, creditor distributions and closure processes.
Statutory Compliance & Technical Delivery
  • Prepare, review and quality‑check statutory documents, (including but not limited to):
    • Statement of affairs
    • Progress reports
    • Fee approval documentation
    • Receipts and payments accounts
    • SIP
      16 statements
    • Creditors' decisions
    • Dividend notices and calculations
    • Statutory filings
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex compliance and procedural matters.
Stakeholder & Case Team Interface
  • Act as a primary ICE contact for allocated case team members, office‑holders, legal advisers and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide clear technical guidance and procedural direction to case teams to ensure correct implementation of insolvency processes.
People Management & Development
  • Line manage and mentor junior members of the ICE team, including:
    • Work allocation and capacity management
    • Technical training and development
    • Performance feedback and appraisals
    • Quality check and review of work
    • Promote consistent application of ICE/A&M standards and best practice across the team
Process Improvement & Risk Management
  • Proactively manage risk by identifying potential compliance or regulatory issues and escalating appropriately
  • Identify process improvements and efficiencies within ICE/A&M workflows
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of ICE/A&M procedures, templates and controls.
