We currently have a vacancy for a Business Analyst to join our Change and Transformation Team.
This is a key specialist role, working to help shape and deliver high‑impact change, transformation and continuous improvement. As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation to understand business needs, analyse current and future ways of working, and translate insight into clear, evidence‑based recommendations that support effective decision‑making and sustainable change.
You will play a leading role in business analysis and process improvement, using data, analytical tools and structured methodologies to identify opportunities to streamline operations, improve services and deliver measurable benefits. Our new Business Analyst will have the opportunity to operate as a trusted advisor, influencing change at scale and helping to embed modern, efficient and customer‑focused ways of working across the Combined Authority.

Reporting into the Head of Change and Transformation, your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading business analysis and process improvement activity, including mapping current and future state processes, analysing data and identifying opportunities to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Working closely with senior stakeholders and delivery teams to translate organisational and service needs into clear business requirements, options appraisals and evidence‑based recommendations that inform change and transformation initiatives.
- Providing expert advice and guidance on business analysis methodologies and change approaches, supporting the successful design, delivery and embedding of complex change and transformation projects and programmes.

About YouYou will have the following key skills, attributes, education, and experience:
- A degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, or equivalent substantial experience in a business analysis role.
- Significant experience of delivering business analysis and process improvement within complex organisational environments, with evidence of achieving measurable benefits.
