WhatYou'll Do:
As a Procurement Manager, you will take ownership of developing strategic sourcing plans that underpin the organisation’s success. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Developing and delivering sourcing and category strategies that align with overall business objectives and drive value for money across all areas of spend.
- Leading end-to-end procurement activities including tenders, negotiations, contract implementation, and ongoing supplier relationship management.
- Negotiating supplier agreements with clear KPIs and SLAs to ensure high standards of performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supporting global projects by providing UK procurement expertise and ensuring alignment with international best practices.
- Travelling within the UK (and occasionally Europe) as required to build strong supplier networks and support project delivery.
To excel as a Procurement Manager in this organisation, you will bring proven experience gained within complex procurement environments. Your background should include:
- 5+ years experience in procurement within a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Proven capability in contract negotiation coupled with strong supplier management skills.
- A commercially focused approach with a track record of achieving savings while managing supply chain risks is required.
- Advanced proficiency in using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics or SAGE.
- A CIPS qualification would be beneficial.
