Commerical Assistant-Chemicals; Chinese Speaking Chemicals

Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Assistant – Chemicals role in a chemicals company based in the UK. The company is a start‑up speciality chemical distributor founded.

• Prior customer support experience required.
• Self‑motivated, organised, with a willingness to take charge and be proactive.
• Outstanding writing and vocal communication abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office and applications such as SAGE, SAP and XERO.
• It is preferable, but not required, to have a business diploma or bachelor’s degree.
• An interest in or prior experience in the chemicals business preferred but not required.
• Preferable to have prior experience working with an agency or distributor.
• Accustomed to working with a sizable Chinese manufacturer.
• Experience in warehouse and stock management desired.
• Logistics experience, including import/export processes, incoterms, dealing with international freight forwarders and couriers.
• Competency in the Chinese language desirable.
• Diligence and time management abilities required.
• Consumer‑centric approach with a sales and entrepreneurial attitude.
