As part of their expansion plans, they are seeking an experienced Account Director to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute print or packaging professional who thrives on building long-term client partnerships, delivering complex projects, and driving account growth within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
The RoleAs Account Director, you will take ownership of key customer relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of strategic accounts. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered successfully from brief through to completion while identifying opportunities to strengthen customer relationships and generate additional revenue.
Working closely with internal departments and external suppliers, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, whilst providing exceptional levels of service and commercial support.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key client stakeholders
- Manage customer enquiries and interpret briefs accurately
- Prepare estimates, quotations, and commercial proposals
- Oversee projects from concept through production and final delivery
- Coordinate with production, pre-press, procurement, logistics, and fulfilment teams
- Create and manage project schedules and critical paths
- Ensure seamless communication between clients and internal teams
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and increase revenue
- Manage project profitability and support commercial decision-making
Resolve client and production challenges efficiently and professionally - Maintain accurate project and account information within company systems
- Monitor industry trends and market developments to support strategic account growth
We are keen to hear from candidates who possess:
- Proven Account Director, Senior Account Manager, or client services experience within the print and/or packaging industry
- Strong understanding of print and packaging production processes and workflows
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Experience managing estimates, quotations, budgets, and project profitability
- Strong organisational and project management capabilities
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a deadline-driven environment
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
