About Brooks

Brooks Ecological is a multidisciplinary consultancy that provides market leading, cost-effective technical output to clients, principally in relation to planning applications, spanning various sectors across the UK, including residential and commercial development, renewables and infrastructure, alongside work for government bodies and NGOs.

We work closely with our clients throughout the duration of projects to ensure that we have a thorough understanding of their requirements and to achieve optimum outcomes. Our team is principally focused on Ecological Consultancy with growing departments in Arboricultural Consultancy and Landscape Design. This puts us in a strong position to provide collaborative consultancy services for projects, maximising outcomes and minimising delays.

The role:

This is a varied and hands-on role that plays a key part in supporting the day-to-day operations of the business. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation and wider Group functions, you will be part of the efficient running of office administration, facilities, health and safety, HR processes and business support activities.

Strong attention to detail is essential as the role involves maintaining accurate records in relation to quoting and commissions working across multiple platforms, supporting business compliance, liaising with customers and suppliers where required, and providing general administrative support to teams across the business. Flexibility and a proactive approach are essential, as you'll be involved in a wide range of activities that help keep the organisation running smoothly and effectively.

The role will be office based (Guiseley) though we appreciate the need for flexibility and occasional hybrid working will be permitted.

Key Requirements:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Quick to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies, with the ability to become competent in business applications and processes rapidly.
  • Previous exposure to finance administration, sales ledger, or credit control processes would be advantageous, although full training will be provided and prior experience is not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • People-focused, with the ability to build positive relationships across the business.
  • Confident communicator with strong customer relationship skills.
  • Highly organised, diligent, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to apply sound judgement and challenge non-compliant or inaccurate requests.
