Our Economics and Case making practice sit within our Cities, Planning and Design (CPD) team and is at the forefront in thinking about the future of our places. Our Economics & Case making team provides strategy, planning, and economic consultancy services to a range of high-profile clients. We work across several sub-areas including, but not limited to, regeneration, economic development, skills and innovation, environment, and transport, offering a variety of services including

• Vision, strategy and economic storytelling documents for regeneration, development and infrastructure proposals.
• Building the case for investment,authoring HMTGreen Book compliant business cases.
• Strategic advice on inclusive economic growth and innovation.
• Socio-economic baselining, context setting, data and trend analysis and research.
• Impact assessments, including environmental, socio-economic,equalities,and health for planning and policy.
• Project delivery advice and management support.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about urban regeneration, housing, transport, and the integration of these factors in shaping the places around us.

Working as part of a team, you will help to deliver work for public sector agencies, city governments, international organisations, property developers, infrastructure operators and other organizations. This will involve providing advice to cities and regions in the UK and beyond on business case development for infrastructure / regeneration projects, strategies for inclusive and sustainable growth and providing strategy and management support.

For example, advising clients on day-to-day delivery of complex, long-term development projects set in highly political environments.

Whilst you will be part of this Economics & Case making team in the North, you will work with colleagues across the business. Our work is structured around projects, with most of our work carried out through temporary project teams that are bespoke to each project. As such, we often work in collaboration with a range of technical specialists including urban planners, transport planners / modellers, and sustainability experts.

For this opportunity, we are seeking the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

An Undergraduate / Bachelor's level (or equivalent) in Geography & Geospatial Science, Economics, Urban Planning, or Town Planning. Technical skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
Core skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
