We have a fantastic opportunity for a
Highways Supervisor to join our National Highways Account at Bramham Maintenance Compound, Leeds (LS24 9NS
) on a permanent basis.

Working with Amey, you ll play a key role in supervising and coordinating operational teams delivering routine, cyclic and reactive highway maintenance activities across the network. You ll ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements, helping us provide safe and reliable journeys for road users every day.

The standard hours of work are
45 hours per week
.

Due to the nature of the role, there will be a requirement to participate in standby and emergency response activities as required by the contract.

• Supervising operational teams undertaking highway maintenance activities across the network.
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures, legislation and contractual requirements.
• Monitoring quality, productivity and operational performance across work activities.
• Carrying out site inspections, safety observations and audits.
• Coordinating resources, plant, materials and labour to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Supporting winter maintenance and emergency response operations.
• Completing records, reports and operational documentation accurately and within required timescales.
• Building and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and customers.
• Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement across operations.
• Promoting Amey s health, safety and environmental standards at all times.

• Experience working within highways maintenance, civil engineering, construction, utilities or a similar operational environment.
• Previous supervisory, team leader or frontline management experience.
• A good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
• Experience coordinating operational activities, resources and work programmes.
• Strong planning, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

• SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
• Experience working on a National Highways contract or within a strategic road network environment.
• Experience supporting winter maintenance and emergency response operations.
