Location: Hertfordshire (Projects across London & South East)
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 + Package

We’re looking for a talented Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor renowned for delivering exceptional projects across a multitude of sectors. You’ll work on and be the commercial lead on a circa £5m Commercial New Build Project.

This is the ideal opportunity for a driven Quantity Surveyor seeking to take ownership of exciting projects, support career progression, and play a key role in a market-leading contractor.

• Take commercial responsibility for a £5m New Build Project in Hertfordshire
• Prepare and negotiate subcontractor packages and procurement schedules
• Lead CVRs, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
• Maintain robust cost control and risk management across projects
• Drive value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
• Manage change control processes and oversee final accounts
• Liaise confidently with clients, consultants, and internal teams

• Proven experience in new build or refurbishment projects (ideally £2m–£20m)
• Strong understanding of JCT contracts and commercial best practice
• Background in commercial, office, hotel, education or leisure schemes preferred
• Excellent negotiation, reporting, and leadership skills
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
