Estimator | Structural Steelwork
Location: Leeds, UK

Compensation: Up to £60,000 + Benefits
Why Join This Opportunity?An established and growing structural steelwork contractor in Leeds is seeking an experienced Estimator to support continued expansion and a strong pipeline of secured work. This is a key commercial role within a well-regarded steel contractor delivering commercial and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive tender submissions
- Review drawings, specifications, and client requirements
- Complete material take-offs and labour cost assessments
- Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
- Liaise with clients, engineers, architects, and internal teams
- Support commercial handover to project delivery teams
- Maintain accurate tender documentation and pricing records
- Proven experience estimating within the structural steelwork industry essential
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and erection processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and commercial skills
- Strong communication and negotiation ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines
