Please note:

This is a hybrid working role, you will be asked to attendaregionaloffice1 day per week and our Leeds office on a Thursday 1 day per week. The remaining days you will work from home or berequiredto travel to our sites which are situated in the Midlands& North England. A car allowance is included in this role to cover travel. More about your role As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor,you'llsupport the commercial management of live and upcoming residential development sites across the Midland sand North of England, working closely with experienced Quantity Surveyors and the wider team. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with cost control from early-stage budgeting through to final accounts Supporting tendering processes and subcontractor procurement Checking and processing monthly valuations, cost reports, and financial forecasts Working closely with Construction and Technical colleagues to ensure projectsremaincommercially sound Building collaborative relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve best value Thisis afast-paced and varied roleofferingexcellent exposuretothe full project lifecycle. You'llworkwith alldepartmentstosupporttight cost control andtimelydelivery at every stage.

This position offers a good degree of autonomyandresponsibility where contributions are seen and encouraged. More about you You'llalready have experience in a commercial role within the construction or house building sector, ideally with exposure to residential developments or a main contractor environment. We'relooking for someone who:
Has a foundational understanding of cost control, reporting, and subcontractor engagement Is keen to learn and develop technically and professionally in afast-paced environment Is organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple tasksto multiple deadlines Communicates confidently and works well as part of a collaborative team Is working toward (or interested in working toward) MRICSthis is beneficial but not essential Just as important as experience is attitude.
